CADDIT has pretty basic one. Works for AutoCAD AutoCAD LT progeCAD and IntelliCAD:

Your best bet is to try and find out what your target employers are using and try and get on a course for that. There are lots of very good packages out there these days. My favorite is SolidWorks, but my employer used ProE!

Any of them will work. SolidWorks is getting popular. It's connection with Comsol multi physics software might be a plus, I don't know (since I don't use it). Pro/E is good too.

In 10 years of CAD drafting, I've never been asked for a cert, nor have I even seen an advert asking for a cert. Also, from my experience on the hiring side of CAD, I've found most "certified" drafters are dime-a-dozen and worth half that. You want to be more marketable? Learn a trade, so that you know what it is you are drafting. Like architecture? Spend a few years doing carpentry or masonry. Like mechanical? Spend a few years as an HVAC installer, sheetmetal worker, or plumber. Like electrical? Spend a few years doing electrical work. Often, you can do these jobs at the same time: small contractors love to have workers that can double up and document the work just built.
